Cubs’ Kris Bryant on receiving end of endearing marriage proposal
“He said ‘Yes!”
That’s according to Julie, one sweet young lady at the Adult Down Syndrome Center at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Ill., where Chicago Cubs star and reigning National League MVP Kris Bryant visited Wednesday.

“Jess has some competition with this proposal,” Bryant tweeted, referencing his wife Jessica, who smiled and laughed from her vantage point – about two feet away from the courageous query.

For her part, Jessica tweeted, “I have to watch out for Julie!! BUT she did invite me over for moms sloppy joes tonight, so who’s really winning here??!”

Bryant took photos and chatted with the group of about 18 adoring fans.
The mission of the Adult Down Syndrome Center is enhancing the well-being of adolescents, 12 and older, and adults with Down syndrome using a team approach to provide comprehensive, holistic, community-based health care services.
