As an RN, I have been responsible for the public outreach for blood pressure in a small public health department. In researching, I have found these suggestions to be right on. However, even doctors and other nurses are not aware of them…so (nicely) ask for your bp to be taken sitting in a chair with a back and don’t answer any questions while it is being read…go to your happy place!
