There’s a lot of gift-giving this time of year, but not all of the season’s memories come from under a tree.
“In this season when so many celebrate cherished holidays, focusing on the meaning behind the days leaves the enduring memories that children grow up with,” Rev. Kevin Massey, system vice president of mission and spiritual care for Advocate Aurora Health, says. “For example, when celebrating Christmas Eve service, I don’t remember what toy I got in second grade, but I do remember what it was like singing Silent Night next to my mother.”
