Health care heroes: Small hearts provide a big lift
A small sign of support can go a long way.
At Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center, the Same Day Interventional Services (SDIS) team posted tiny hearts along a busy hallway.
Each cutout heart has a special inspirational message of peace and positivity for their fellow caregivers during this trying time.
“My team is an amazing group of people who have hearts of gold,” says SDIS Manager Dawn Vajgrt. “Our goal is to give some inspiration to help them get through the day. If this is a way for us to give a little back to our partners on the front lines, then we will do this and more.”

The recommendation in today’s ” Doc three tips” regarding hand washing suggested using a hand dryer after washing ones hands.
Several studies have found that bacteria is present on the inside of these electric hand dryers and that by using these devices, only introduces harmful bacteria to an individual after washing their hands.
Solutions: either use paper towels of forgo the hand dryer.
