4.04.17 In 1841, William Henry Harrison, the ninth president of the United States, died of pneumonia just 31 days after assuming the office. Harrison declined to wear a jacket during his two-hour inauguration speech, which was delivered on a bitterly cold day. He developed the lung infection soon afterward.
